ABOUT ME
I am a Clinical Professional Counselor intern with a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from UNLV. I graduated in August of 2017 and completed my undergraduate work at Brigham Young University in 1995. I maintain a private practice in Las Vegas where I live with my husband. We have three daughters, a dog, a hognose snake, and many more insect pets. I have an enduring love for humankind, the natural world, reading and writing, cultures and languages.
APPROACH
Science attests the body tends toward wellness, both mentally and physically. Of course, it’s also evident life disrupts that balance in ways that may challenge and overwhelm us. My approach to mental health is holistic, viewing individuals in their entirety with their core strengths that are as much a part of reality as any emotional distress they may suffer. A critical element of the therapeutic journey is in getting to know and like one’s core, central self. By partnering with the client to draw upon this identity, I am optimistic that emotional healing and growth is an attainable goal.
